Part Specifications

The art of specifying exactly what you need – no more, no less

Creating adequate and well-defined part specifications is key to ensuring that the part ultimately turns out as intended and fits into the medical device assembly. It requires experience with assessing e.g. tolerances, forces and interfaces between the interacting parts. As mechanical engineers, we know our way around this – and the pitfalls as well.

When providing part specifications to suppliers, we work in compliance with Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS) in order to deliver unambiguous information about the specific part with a sufficient, but not excessive level of detail. Furthermore, our mechanical engineers are experienced working with a variety of different production setups throughout the medical device industry and therefore know that part specifications should be transferrable in a seamless way from one supplier to another.
