Junior Mechanical Engineer
More about Kimmie

Kimmie Frydenberg graduated from Aarhus University in February 2020 as a mechanical engineer and is currently finishing her master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark. She spend 6 months as an intern at Escea fireplaces in New Zealand working with design, testing and documentation of gas fire places.

In her bachelor project Kimmie 3D printed an atherosclerotic coronary artery phantom with the aim of mimicking mechanical properties of the native tissue for evaluation of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in collaboration with Aarhus University Hospital. In her master project she continued working with cardiovascular biomechanics and developed a FSI simulation of the Left Atrium with the aim of investigating the hemodynamics of the Left Atrial Appendage. Her educational background has provided her with knowledge within solid and fluid mechanics, materials science and development of medical devices.
