Katrine is about to finish her last semester at the civil engineering bachelor’s degree in Design and Innovation at DTU. She has gained a substantial amount of medical knowledge and practice within the medical field from 2.5 years of medical school and work at hospitals around the Capital Region of Denmark. During her engineering studies she has obtained further industry work experience within the MedTech field, which altogether has created a solid background in user-oriented problem solving, visual communication, product development and quality control of medical products. She is passionate about being a part of an increased innovation of the health care sector to secure high patient safety and diagnostics as well as to improve working conditions for the health care staff. She always loves a good challenge which is why she spends a lot of active time in the nature through running and hiking and has among other things completed Tour De Mount Blanc in the Alps.
