Sophia has a background from DTU in Biomedical Engineering, where she did a master’s thesis, which focused on developing a medical device and conducting a formative usability study to test the device on representative users. Sophia has earlier worked at Leo Pharma and Xellia Pharmaceuticals.
Sophia joined Technolution in 2020 and has worked on numerous usability related projects. These have included both formative studies conducting analyses, testing and reporting, as well as summative testing and reporting. Lately, Sophia’s work has been focused on the process of ensuring MDR compliance in regard to usability.
In order to create safe and effective medical devices, Sophia’s work involves applying the methodologies used in usability engineering to minimize use-related errors, which may cause harm to the users of the devices.
